At Kindly Woven, we believe talented designers deserve opportunities to see their artwork come to life in beautiful, American-made products.
We're always interested in connecting with textile and surface pattern designers who share our passion for thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and home furnishings.

Two Paths to Designing for Kindly Woven
We welcome designers from different backgrounds, whether you've already worked in the home furnishings industry or you're developing the skills to enter it.
Experienced Textile Designers
Have you worked full-time as a textile designer for a weaving mill, fabric manufacturer, home furnishings company, or other commercial design studio serving the interiors industry?
We're looking for designers with professional experience developing textiles for commercial production who understand industry standards, manufacturing requirements, and the process of bringing designs from concept to finished product.
Emerging Designers
Love surface pattern design but haven't worked commercially in the interiors industry yet?
Our WOVEN Studio Intensive teaches you about the textile and home furnishings industry, preparing artwork for commercial applications, and building relationships with manufacturers.
Once you've completed the program, you're welcome to apply for consideration.
All submissions are reviewed based on design quality, commercial appeal, and alignment with Kindly Woven's brand, aesthetic, and product needs. Completing WOVEN Studio Intensive or submitting an application does not guarantee selection or a licensing agreement.
How the Application Process Works
We're always interested in discovering talented designers who could be a great fit for the Kindly Woven Design Team. Approved designers become part of our creative network and have opportunities to submit artwork for consideration as new collection needs arise.
1. Submit Your Portfolio
Complete our designer application and share examples of your work, your professional background, and your experience in the textile or home furnishings industry.
2. Portfolio Review
We'll review your submission for design quality, commercial potential, and alignment with Kindly Woven's aesthetic and product needs.
3. Join Our Design Team
If approved, you'll be invited to join the Kindly Woven Design Team. Throughout the year, we share design briefs based on upcoming collections and product development needs, giving our designers opportunities to pitch original artwork for consideration.
Designs selected for production may lead to licensing agreements and the opportunity to see your work brought to life in our American-made woven products.
Applications are accepted year-round. Acceptance into the Design Team does not guarantee that artwork will be selected, licensed, or produced.
